Health-Based Early Childhood Education
Early Childhood Health-Based Education is an educational and health initiative aimed at improving the growth and development of young children through the promotion of clean and healthy living behaviors from an early age. The program is designed to support a healthy, safe, and supportive learning environment that contributes to children’s physical, mental, social, and emotional development.
Through an educational and participatory approach, the program provides awareness and knowledge to children, teachers, parents, and communities about the importance of personal hygiene, sanitation, balanced nutrition, environmental health, and disease prevention for early childhood. Program activities include clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) education, proper handwashing practices, basic sanitation awareness, child health monitoring, and strengthening healthy parenting practices within families and educational environments.
The program also supports capacity building for Early Childhood Education teachers through training programs, health education modules, and the development of learning methods integrated with health and hygiene principles. Through collaboration with schools, communities, local governments, and development partners, the initiative aims to create a healthier, more active, and higher-quality future generation in Indonesia.
Early Childhood Health-Based Education reflects YPCII’s commitment to supporting sustainable human development from an early age through the strengthening of education, health, sanitation, and community welfare sectors.
